In 2014, and for the first time, an elected local government official played an active role in the success of the show. Trustee Larry Brown introduced himself to all of the award-winning artists and welcomed them to the city. Rarely does an elected member of government -- in any city -- offer that kind of support to the show and to the community. His superb public relations efforts that weekend will bring the artists back – and not only the money they will spend in our community, but also the additional sales tax base they will create with the sale of their artwork.
